Yeah I should have installing the flash membrane BEFORE putting down glue and the decking boards on top. Now it's nearly impossible to pull the boards out. Re: Glue only for deck My concern would be if you are in a seismic zone. Construction adhesive, I'm told, fails with the vibration inherent in earthquakes. The decking attachment provides most of the lateral bracing in the horizontal plane, so I wouldn't expect a glue-only deck to perform well in a quake.

If you could find pvc in the shape of a board I'd say make sleepers with that & use pvc glue to hold the decking. A factory rep who helped me on a home show told me about it for mitered joints on his pvc decking, worked great. However I've never tried glueing it other than a couple of mitered joints, but you're welcome to be the test case.
